Welcome to Hand-kraft - A workshop with courses in creative needlework

Hand-kraft was established in 2026 by Karin Nørmølle and is based in the workshop in Jernbanegade nr. 19 in Haslev. Karin has a background as a primary school teacher and has many years of experience as a teacher. The idea of starting a needlework training site stems from my own lifelong interest in creating with my hands and working with the endless possibilities offered by yarn and wool. In the workshop, it is preferable to work with fibers of natural materials when we create pictures or applied art. The goal is to inspire and help others to unfold creatively and at the same time experience the special tranquility and mental well-being that comes with allowing ourselves to work from what we have at heart and with our hands.

The workshop offers many different types of courses on smaller teams, which run for periods throughout the year. Courses in tapestry weaving, knotting (macramé), felting, visible lapping (visibel mending) and embroidery are offered, among others. Should you wish for a course in a different type of needlework, you are welcome to contact us and make suggestions for new course content. There are short events/one-day courses and longer courses. There are also 8-week courses for children and adolescents with a more mixed content. Here, various basic techniques are introduced at the same time as designing yourself.
